Viola Oro is a striking and luxurious natural marble quarried in Italy, admired for its bold colour contrast and distinctive veining. As its name suggests — “Viola” meaning violet and “Oro” meaning gold — this marble features a creamy white to warm ivory base, dramatically intersected by rich deep violet, burgundy, or aubergine-toned veins, often accented with touches of gold, ochre, or amber mineralisation.

This visually expressive stone is often chosen for high-impact design applications where natural beauty and statement aesthetics are desired. Due to its rare colour composition and dramatic patterning, Viola Oro is especially popular in boutique residential projects, luxury retail spaces, and artistic installations.

Geologically, Viola Oro is a calcium carbonate-based marble, making it moderately durable but still sensitive to acids, oils, and abrasive cleaners. Like most marbles, it should be sealed and maintained regularly to protect its vivid colouring and polish. It is suitable for interior applications such as feature walls, splashbacks, vanities, decorative accents, and low-traffic floors.
